Journey through Spring Summer 2024 Fashion Collections and the World of Fashion!

Welcome aboard our exclusive journey into the magnificent World of Fashion! Fashion Wow is pleased to present its first edition of 2024 dedicated to the best of Fashion, Style, and Glamour, showcasing a global overview of high fashion runways for the Spring-Summer 2024 collections. Inside, we’ve included the marvelous Venice Fashion Week, conceived and organized by Venezia da Vivere, with the aim of promoting Venice as a center of production and creativity: a fascinating journey into the world of Venetian craftsmanship and design excellence, revealing an undiscovered city and the places from which its fashion originates.

Speaking of Venice, it was a pleasure to celebrate in advance the 60 years of professional activity of Maestro Franco Puppato, the creator of many garments worn over the years by world-renowned princes and industrialists. This edition also opens with an interview conducted by colleague and writer Dino Frambati with Oscar Di Montigny, a writer, communicator, and international keynote speaker. With Oscar, whom we thank for his availability, we explored unfamiliar territories, from the Metaverse to sustainability, emphasizing a very important concept: Fashion must express a direction and its origin!

Our Global Fashion Network map on our website showcases collaboration networks with designers from around the world. From America to Asia, Europe to Africa, we are connected with renowned names in the European fashion industry and talents worldwide, including China, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, South Africa, and Brazil. A map that embodies our commitment to elevate fashion beyond borders, blending contemporary trends with deep cultural traditions. For this reason, in each edition, we will feature a regional focus on fashion. In this edition, we started with the global resonance of Middle Eastern fashion.

Furthermore, in 2023, during the Art Basel Miami 2023 event, in collaboration with the Nonpareil agency founded by Travon Ridley-Evans, Fashion Wow Magazine was also launched in North America.

A new editorial feature is the Fashion Food section, combining style and taste! Our readers can discover the culinary art of renowned Michelin-starred restaurants, starting with our luxury partner, Zeffirino Restaurant in Genoa! With restaurants worldwide, Zeffirino has charmed celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, and Vittorio Gassman, bringing a touch of class to the world of food.

Finally, it is a pleasure to share with you the joy of the Italian Glam Awards 2024, which Fashion Wow won in the Publishing category, awarded by the Sicilian agency Tobemodel Management, for contributing “with our art and creativity to spread a new way of treating Fashion and Glamour”. For this award, I thank the Artistic Director Roberto Capone of Tobemodel Management, Editorial Director Ilio Masprone, Giuseppe Marchione (official photographer), and the entire editorial team for achieving this recognition together: among them Cristiano Gatti, Paolo and Maria Pinto, Dino Frambati, Debora Chiappini, Marina di Tolla, Maria Angelica Martillo Guerrero, and Guglielmo Bessone.

Readers, through this edition, can enjoy diversified content that embraces Fashion in all its forms and facets, making Fashion Wow the go-to destination for those seeking something different and captivating in the world of Fashion. Moreover, from 2024, Fashion Wow is a multisensory magazine that aims to stimulate the imagination through the activation of multiple senses, thanks to our videos created by photographer and videomaker Giuseppe Marchione, accessible via QR codes that allow direct immersion into high fashion shows and more! To all this, we add the collaboration with MonteCarloTimes Magazine, which, in each issue, comments on, proposes, and delves into even very delicate topics, in addition to publishing all the events proposed by the Principality of Monaco.

Ten Years of Venice Fashion Week

Even the splendid city of Venice boasts its own fashion week: from October 19 to 28 of the past year, the Venice Fashion Week took place. This unique event was conceived and organized by Venezia da Vivere, an agency specialized in promoting contemporary craftsmanship, with the aim of showcasing the city as a centre of production and creativity, an ideal place to live and create.

The proposed one is a fascinating journey into the world of Venetian artisan excellence and design, whose outcome leads to the discovery of an unprecedented Venice and the places from which its fashion originates.

Celebrating its special 10th anniversary this year, the Venice Fashion Week witnessed a proliferation of collaborative projects between companies, designers, artisans, and foundations. This showcased the vitality of a region that has always been a key player, with artisanal companies fundamental to the Made in Italy brand. The role of the Venetian capital has increasingly asserted itself as a place where projects not only originate and develop thanks to a fertile ground of enterprise and culture but can also be launched globally due to the city’s unique visibility.

These were intense 10 days filled with conferences, meetings with international designers, explorations of artisan workshops, and presentations of sustainable fashion brands and haute couture ateliers. Notably, some projects focusing on fashion and sustainability were presented, including Mano a Mano a training program, promoted by The Place of Wonders Foundation in collaboration with Venezia da Vivere, which offers 4 scholarships to learn the Art of Glass Beads – UNESCO intangible heritage,  aiming to educate young individuals in craftsmanship: artisans, designers and students worked together to create accessories and lifestyle objects dedicated to travel, in way to make the travellers themselves the new ambassadors of high Venetian craftsmanship.

To illustrate the complexity of the sustainable fashion supply chain, the Venice Fashion Week presented the third edition of A dress for Venice at the luxurious Ca’ di Dio hotel on October 20. This project, initiated by Venezia da Vivere, is a blend of fashion, research, and innovation. Inspired by the city of water, the clothing collection was designed by eco-designer Tiziano Guardini and illustrated by artist Jacopo Ascari. Produced with biodegradable yarns Bemberg™ by Ashai Kasei and by artisanal companies, from Venice and the Veneto region, identified by the Veneto Fashion Table, the capsule collection was enriched with lace elements from Burano by the Venetian brand Martina Vidal Venezia.

The Upskill Venezia event on October 21 focused on demonstrating how cultural and artisanal enterprises can connect new technologies with traditional craftsmanship. Project managers of Upskill 4.0 presented a selection of innovation projects, allowing attendees to experience the technological solutions developed and interact with artisans.

A central moment of the Venice Fashion Week was the haute couture showcase at Palazzo Sagredo, where master artisans united under the theme of high craftsmanship at the Ca’ Sagredo hotel. Amid dreamlike dresses, techniques, and ancient gestures, fashion artisans shared the sartorial secrets used in their collections. Writers and creatives also narrated stories of beauty and life, providing multiple perspectives on fashion.

The award for the transmission of craftsmanship, The Blue Artisan, is the official recognition of artisanal excellence that has successfully passed on its knowledge to new generations. Conceived by Venezia da Vivere in collaboration with Seguso – Vetri d’Arte, this year’s award was conferred upon Master tailor Franco Puppato. He holds the titles of Master of Art and Crafts and Best Tailor in Italy for Arbiter.

And on a specific day, October 25, a focus was dedicated to sustainable fashion. At Palazzo Ferro Fini, the headquarters of the Regional Council of Veneto, important topics were addressed, including the need for generational turnover in craftsmanship, the protection of intangible heritage, digital communication, and the establishment of craft schools with Italian experts in sustainability, economics, marketing, and ethical fashion.

It was also possible to participate in Atelier Aperti, enlightening journeys through artisanal places, mastery, and fashion allowed participants to meet artists in person and discover the city of Venice in a new light, embracing ancient traditions and contemporary insights.

THE EDITOR ALESSANDRA LUTI IN THE PHILIPP PLEIN’S BACKSTAGE

SS24 took us to a vibrant fashion amusement park, where the carousel spins through bright colors, lively prints, and a dash of extravaganza. The runway was a celebration of fun and glamour, starting with the electric energy of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and crossing a rainbow of outfits, from playful, colorful ones to more sober and magnetic ones in gray and black. And when the models joyfully rode the carousel, we realized that there’s a bit of Plein magic in every piece of the collection.

Thank you, Philipp, for taking us on this thrilling fashion ride and for making our eyes sparkle with every glittering detail.

ALESSANDRA LUTI SHARES THE EDITORIAL OF THE FASHION WOW EDITION 2/2024

Welcome aboard our exclusive journey into the fantastic World of Fashion! Fashion Wow is pleased to present its second edition of 2024 dedicated to the best of fashion, style, and glamour of the latest period, offering a global overview of the runways showcasing the fall-winter 2024-2025 collections.

In addition to the four global fashion capitals (New York, London, Milan, and Paris), we have also included Tokyo Fashion Week.

Twice a year, the biggest luxury streetwear and ready-to-wear brands come to Tokyo to showcase their latest and best collections. The capital of Japan is known for hosting the most experimental and cutting-edge fashion in the world. But it is also known for its incredible streetwear. In fact, it is the leading city in Asia when it comes to fashion week. People from all over Asia working in the fashion industry, or even those aspiring to enter it, attend the shows to stay updated on these trends.

Regarding children’s trends, inside you will find a special feature on Pitti Immagine Bimbo (the Pitti Immagine event for kids fashion), while for our “four-legged friends” trends, you can discover the new trends in terms of outfits and accessories presented at Pitti Pets.

Moving on to our Fashion Food column, which combines style and taste, we bring you the presentation of the historic yet innovative and glamorous Zeffirino Restaurant in Genoa. With restaurants all over the world, Zeffirino has fascinated celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, and Vittorio Gassman, bringing a touch of class to the world of food. And Chef Bruno Barbieri himself was recently a guest at the Zeffirino Restaurant.

Finally, it is a pleasure to share with you the joy of winning the Italian Glam Awards 2024, which Fashion Wow received during Milan Fashion Week last February at the Hollywood of Milan, as recognition in the Publishing category from the Agency Tobemodel Management, for contributing “with our art and creativity to spread a new way of treating Fashion and Glamour.”

Fashion Wow is a partner of MonteCarloTimes, Festival News, and Orizzonte Italia, three international magazines whose director Ilio Masprone has been appointed by SAS Prince Albert, Knight for Cultural Merits of the Principality of Monaco.

ZEFFIRINO DYNASTY BETWEEN TRADITION AND LEGEND

In the very central Via XX Settembre, the heart of the city of Genoa, slightly secluded and at the top of a suggestive staircase, you’ll find the Zeffirino restaurant. A historic venue, renowned for its tradition, which has reached its fifth generation, yet a restaurant that is also fashionable throughout Italy and beyond!

Inside, you breathe a special atmosphere, the result of a skillful blend of the new and the classic. Wood-paneled walls, precious artisanal furnishings, an open kitchen, and above all, the photos that testify to the presence of many international figures from the world of entertainment, sports, and politics, who have become loyal customers, demonstrating that a piece of history has passed through here. And of course, the passage of VIPs continues, including a recent visit from the multi-starred chef Bruno Barbieri, who, while in Genoa for his television show, did not hesitate to visit Zeffirino to savor its delicacies.

Zeffirino Restaurant in Genova

And even we at Fashion Wow had the pleasure of being guests at this restaurant, which we can define as glamorous! We were welcomed by Luciano Belloni Zeffirino, son of the family’s progenitor, who with his friendliness, cordiality, and affability escorted us to our table. We met Marco Belloni, Luciano’s son, who serves as the manager and told us how the brand has now expanded to include catering services for private jets. A luxury catering service, meticulously curated with dishes prepared by their chefs, using only the highest quality ingredients. The same care and quality are used in executing the recipes at the restaurant, where seasonal ingredients are also respected.

Our menu, recommended by Luciano, starts with a typical Genoese dish, because it is part of the historical traditions: a taste of cheese focaccia with the inevitable pesto. Zeffirino is an ambassador in the world of Genoese sauce par excellence. Frank Sinatra had it sent to all his events, and it is from Zeffirino that everyone comes to eat pesto. The secret of this success? Using high-quality ingredients and respecting tradition.

Marco Belloni Zeffirino (on the left) with maitre Livington Bernabe and chef Dario De Spirito (on the right)

Next, we tasted the “hand-pulled” Paffutelli in basil velouté, so beloved by “The Voice”, and the homemade “Mandilli de saea” with Zeffirino’s Genoese pesto. The second course of the day’s catch (we’re in Genoa) is followed by a plate of their delicious dessert amuse-bouches.

The dishes evoke the tradition of Zeffirino’s Emilian origins in fresh pasta and fillings, and the influence of Genoa with pesto and fish. They are a perfect combination of tradition and innovation. Dishes that have never stopped being fashionable!

Luciano Belloni delighted us with unpublished anecdotes from his career alongside international figures, from Frank Sinatra in Las Vegas to Monte Carlo at the Hotel de Paris, where he was awarded the Golden Keys. He told us how he met Donald Trump at Frank Sinatra’s house and when he was offered a 250-square-meter suite in Beijing. This happened while following Pavarotti to Beijing because he didn’t want to eat Chinese food, so he requested a container of Zeffirino-made products.

Zeffirino is also present on Costa ships with its famous pesto served in the private restaurants.

It was also chosen in Riyadh for the Riyadh Season.

While the opening in some of the most iconic, famous, and charming locations in the world such as Monte Carlo and Paris is imminent.

Today, the historic brand has locations in Santorini where it is waiting to move to a new location. While there is a project to land in Dubai.

What can we say: a truly fashionable establishment! Which perfectly blends and matches the dress code evident among the patrons and clients of Zeffirino; casual or elegant, sporty or meticulous, relaxed or elaborate, but always classy and a sign of personality, never banal.

A MARATHON AMONG 5-STAR HOTELS

London Fashion Week is considered one of the “Big Four,” alongside New York, Milan, and Paris, making it one of the most significant fashion events globally. During the two coolest fashion events of the year, which take place in February and September, London transforms into an even more glamorous and vibrant city. Thousands of people flock to witness not only the runway shows of the most prominent designers but also the numerous accompanying events, including exhibitions, showcases, and sparkling parties organized alongside Fashion Week.

To find out in detail how to organize a fantastic stay in London during Fashion Week, we interviewed Daniele Racca, a brilliant professional responsible for business travel management at Maratona Viaggi, a tour operator specializing in organized and group travel with several branches in Piedmont.

Daniele, which are the most comfortable hotels you would recommend during London Fashion Week?

The options in a metropolis like London are vast. Based on my experience, I can suggest some examples of unique, historical, and always cutting-edge locations that can make a stay in London unforgettable during the most fashionable weeks of the year. For example, the Ritz Hotel, a majestic neoclassical building known worldwide as a synonym for luxury and opulence, or the elegant Savoy Hotel, offering an exclusive breathtaking view of the Thames and London’s most emblematic monuments, serving as an elegant retreat after exploring the best of the capital. Also of high class is the Rosewood Hotel, a magnificent Art Deco building with contemporary décor located in exclusive High Holborn, London. Within the historic walls of this 5-star hotel opened in 2013, you can admire luxurious contemporary design with every comfort. Also noteworthy for the most discerning guests is the Corinthia Hotel, located a stone’s throw from Trafalgar Square and Whitehall, offering exclusive penthouses, luxurious suites, and impeccably furnished and ultra-comfortable rooms. It also boasts restaurants, bars, even a florist, and a spa to relax in after a hectic day. Also targeting a very high-end clientele is the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, a luxurious palace overlooking Hyde Park and Knightsbridge, boasting a restaurant with 2 Michelin stars and a splendid spa with 13 treatment rooms, a fully equipped gym, and a 17-meter-long swimming pool.

On the other hand, what are some of the coolest restaurants to dine in central London after a hectic day?

Even in the realm of dining, London’s offerings are extensive and able to satisfy the most discerning palates in terms of culinary art and location. For a glamorous and tasteful dinner, some of the trendiest restaurants include: The Ivy, a historic celebrity haunt in an Art Deco setting offering modern British cuisine and pre-show menus. The Ledbury, a restaurant located on Ledbury Road, in the famous Notting Hill, which held 2 Michelin stars from 2010 to 2021. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, opened in 2011, received a Michelin star in just one year and earned a second in 2014. In April 2014, it was also ranked fifth in the list of the 50 best restaurants in the world. The Wolseley, an elegant restaurant with a sumptuous Art Deco atmosphere serving modern European dishes and delicious afternoon teas for those who love the English tradition. Oxo Tower Restaurant, a modern venue with a terrace-garden and panoramic views of the skyline, offering tasty international brasserie dishes. Rules, a historic Edwardian-style restaurant, opened in 1798, offering traditional British dishes, mainly based on game. Petersham Nurseries: a venue with a verdant greenhouse serving seasonal dishes adorned with edible flowers.

Daniele, after attending cutting-edge fashion shows or presentations, where can ‘Fashion lovers’ indulge in luxury shopping in the City?

For those wishing to shop, enticed also by the vibrant fashion week of one of the most fashionable European capitals ever, there are several places to visit: The famous Harrods, an icon of luxury with over 330 departments spread over seven floors! This enormous luxury shopping center located on Brompton Road is a must-visit for fashion enthusiasts in London. Dover Street Market, a minimalistic and fashionable industrial space for contemporary urban style enthusiasts. Bond Street, offering a pleasant stroll among shops with Royal Warrant and luxury brands. Liberty London, an iconic Tudor-style shopping hotspot, with emerging young designers and an in-house brand. Sloane Street, located in one of London’s wealthiest neighborhoods, this famous street winding from Knightsbridge to Sloane Square welcomes the stores of the world’s most famous brands.

WORLD TOP MODEL 2024 AT TWIGA MONTE-CARLO

Like all the days leading up to a major global event, the organizational preparations for the participation of 30 countries in the final of World Top Model 2023 at Twiga in Monte-Carlo, hosted by Flavio Briatore, were feverish. This continued until the evening of February 25, 2024, when the audience had the opportunity to applaud the 30 young finalists who vied for victory, elegantly displaying their beauty. Here’s what this highly anticipated finale was: a spectacle of pure beauty, but not just physical. In fact, the 30 beautiful Top Models demonstrated with skill and elegance, attitude, and intelligence, their ability to interpret their role of “eternal femininity,” femininity in its immutable essence. (cf. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe “das Ewig Weibliche”).

Patron Fiore Tondi with the winner model Vania Augustina

It is worth noting that World Top Model, with its 34 years of history and its national finals in more than 50 countries and on 5 continents, is considered one of the most prestigious international beauty contests. “It was truly a beautiful emotion,” intervenes Patron Fiore Tondi, “to see once again that the World Top Model operation has reached many countries around the world, respecting all the standards of my professional and personal ethics. I have always wanted to create, in my fantastic world, an atmosphere of sincere friendship, like that of a large family, and it is a pleasure for me to have succeeded in creating an event dedicated to the world of beauty, with the true rules of total respect and esteem for women.”

In your opinion, what does beauty represent in a woman, and what are the characteristics that allow winning the “World Top Model”? “Femininity, charisma, and moral standards.” What does enrollment in the “World Top Model” Academy offer a girl? “I want to emphasize that enrollment in the Academy is completely ‘free’ and offers girls a 360-degree training course with professionalism in a serene and familiar atmosphere. We try to give models a dream and create real job opportunities.

This is our strength, as demonstrated by the fact that, in its thirty-year history, many personalities have been part of it and supported us: Claudia Schiffer, Valeria Mazza, Nina Moric, Brigitte Nielsen, Grace Jones, Marcus Schenkenberg, Raz Degan, Randi Ingerman, Aldo Coppola, Renato Balestra, Gerry Scotti, Fiorello, Amedeo Minghi, Mietta, Gabriella Carlucci, Zucchero, and Alessia Marcuzzi. “Are you satisfied with how things went here at “Twiga” in Monte-Carlo? “Certainly yes, the victory of the Indonesian model encourages us to bring the competition to that country.” At the end of the evening, the young student from Milan, Margherita Cocciolo, was presented, who was the first Italian enrolled in the Academy, which will take place in Puglia. “I must say she is very beautiful, and I really hope to see her again next September at the Academy.”

Is there a next time planned, again in Monte-Carlo? “We’ll see, we’ll evaluate in the coming weeks with our sponsors the opportunity for a return, which I do not exclude at all. I take this opportunity to thank all my collaborators, who have once again been fabulous, the prestigious Jury, and all the sponsors who continue to support us, but also the renewed great friend of Monte-Carlo, editor Ilio Masprone, who hosts us in the magazines MonteCarloTimes and Orizzonte Italia, and the Publisher of Fashion Wow Magazine Alessandra Luti: a wonderful opportunity for all our finalist models.” An evening during which the new 2024 Edition of Fashion Wow was also presented to the models and guests.

PITTI PETS FW2024-2025

During one of the most renowned events in the Italian fashion world, Pitti Immagine Uomo, held last January at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, its third edition of Pitti Pets took place, the highly anticipated event dedicated to the clothing and accessories sector for our four-legged friends. In an exclusive area of the Fortezza, specially designed by the internationally renowned architect and designer Ilaria Marelli, from January 9th to 12th, 2024, a rich selection of stands specializing in luxury for animals was set up, which now more than ever are becoming true “fashion pets.” Thus, among one kennel and another, visitors could admire the latest delicious novelties of the moment, such as dresses, cashmere coats, glittering leashes, and Swarovski collars. To be precise, some of the most popular brands in the sector animated Pitti Pets:

Ugo

The brand that is written Ugo, but reads You-Go, offers a wide range of bags expressly dedicated to the dachshund. The bags, also very versatile, are all patented and designed to offer a comfortable wrapping shape suitable for the needs of the dachshund. The original idea arose from practical needs related to this breed: “There was no suitable bag for dachshunds, a breed that needs a rigid but lightweight bottom to be able to lie down – explains Alessia Cosseddu of Ugo – after months of research I said: I’ll make it. I made this bag for myself and everyone asked me where I got it. And I said well, let’s invest and try.” The proposal is varied: the bags are made of leather, net, cordura, or canvas ranging from 219 euros to 289 plus VAT and are also being processed for other breeds. They are also made with quality Italian materials and carefully selected, just as the entire production process is Italian-made.

Lollipet

The Prato-based company, producer of dog clothing, has long distinguished itself for the production of unique and precious pieces for dogs of all sizes. Always in line with current trends, Lollipet creates custom-made, handcrafted garments using strictly Made in Italy fabrics of high quality. Dresses, sweaters, raincoats, bomber jackets, but also vests and shirts accompany, in the Lollipet proposal, leashes, harnesses, bandanas, bow ties, kennels, mattresses, and bowls.

MyFamily

The Piedmontese company, founded in 2010 and based in Valenza, with know-how dictated by the goldsmith tradition, presents a wide catalog of dog tags, with over 800 proposals to which it adds a vast collection of collars, leashes, harnesses, and, for the most demanding palates, also a mini-series of handmade snacks. Present with its outlets in 14 of the major airports and railway stations in Europe, in its business MyFamily uses the most advanced technologies while remaining faithful to its philosophy of Made in Italy and eco-friendly craftsmanship. During the last Pitti Pets, MyFamily presented the latest creations of the refined collection in real leather “Hermitage,” showing how a perfect mix of craftsmanship, design, and choice of materials leads to the creation of an incomparable accessory. Thus, the blue and bordeaux versions of the harness with H-hug emerge, but not only. A new pattern becomes the protagonist in the MyFamily harness collection: the timeless tartan, for those who appreciate the British countryside style but with a touch of all-Italian elegance. This hybrid design features the combination of real leather and technical fabric: at the base is a water-repellent material, tested to offer the greatest comfort both for the pet and for the owner. To complete the creation, the iconic twill diagonal weave and its diamond quilting. For the most demanding, it is possible to combine matching collar and leash.

2.8 design for dogs

The Venetian company, born in 2016 from an idea of the portrait photographer Anna Bussolotto, offers a range of lifestyle products characterized by elegant design and intrinsic functionality, with particular attention to sustainability and the well-being of animals. In its catalog, we find an exhaustive range of accessories: from collars, leashes, kennels, cushions, bags, to blankets and under bowls.

I Love My Dog

On the market since 2007, the brand, which already celebrates love for one’s own animal in its name, offers puffers, sweatshirts, dresses, knitwear, t-shirts, polo shirts, bags, carriers, kennels, blankets, but also collars, harnesses, leashes, and other accessories. The flagship of the entire catalog is the collection of puffers for the cold seasons: all comfortable, warm but soft, made with quality padding and materials, in all desirable nuances.

Bullophilosophy

The Mantuan company was born in 2009 with the specific intent of dressing the French Bulldog. Paola Galafassi explains that she made a virtue out of necessity: “The idea came from my bulldog Ginevra because we couldn’t find anything to dress her in. The bulldog, in fact, has a particular physique. I asked a stylist friend and we started.” Thus, a sartorial line for bulldogs was born – but also on request for other breeds – with precious handmade garments one by one in merino wool, cashmere, boiled wool, or ecological material as well as cotton and silk trimmings. But not only that, even more tempting accessories can be found such as pajamas, neck warmers, and panties. Beach towels and blankets are also available. For those willing to pamper and spoil their furry friends, prices range from just under 200 euros for a puffer to 450 euros for a Swarovski collar.

Faliero Sarti for Pets

The well-known company from Campi Bisenzio, a leader in the production of precious scarves, shawls, and wraps, debuted this year in the world of pet clothing by proposing a pet line consisting of luxurious jacquard cashmere blankets customized with the image of one’s own dog, but also mini bandanas matching collars. The blankets can vary in price depending on whether they are only in cashmere or not. Generally, they cost around 300 euros. The bandanas are made with the same fabrics used for the scarves of “humans.” Everything is made with extreme attention to detail and a great love for animals.

The business related to our four-legged friends seems to be expanding into increasingly broader sectors, offering extreme attention to detail both in terms of aesthetics and comfort. Who knows what our furry friends really think about it.

PITTI IMMAGINE BIMBO:

At the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, from Wednesday, February 17 to Friday, February 19, 2024, Pitti Immagine Bimbo n.98 took place, a successful event that presented to an increasingly discerning audience the new Kidswear collections dedicated to the upcoming autumn/winter 2024-2025 season, along with a selection of lifestyle proposals aimed at the world of children. For the occasion, Pitti Bimbo’s exhibition path was set up with a variety of brands, giving life to a true ideal wardrobe: the offer ranged from classic to sportswear, from more refined looks to more casual ones, from street style to luxury. However, not only clothing was exhibited; various accessories, toys, skincare products, jewellery, and glasses were also showcased, elements now increasingly requested and widespread in modern family habits, which reserve meticulous care even for the little ones at home.

Pitti Bimbo is an ever-evolving event. The organizers of Pitti sought to propose a fair that was not only commercial but also a place where ideas and strategies come to life for a business that is constantly on the rise. The result was an edition strongly focused on green materials, tailored garments, and cocoon atmospheres, previewing the rediscovery of traditional values oriented towards quality and excellence. This is the case, for example, in the footwear sector, where there is a demand for a return to leather shoes, rigorously made in Italy and durable.

Particular attention was also paid to sustainability, a central theme of this edition of Pitti Bimbo, which welcomed over 200 brands, the majority of which were foreign and largely definable as conscious brands, capable of practicing initiatives related to environmental respect and ethicality throughout the production chain.

The latest trends related to the children’s world have also highlighted the continuous evolution of the sector, which, while appearing tied to timeless references on one hand, constantly finds itself searching for new ideas and fabrics, sometimes drawing directly from the world of adults but never neglecting that imaginative and dreamy part that suits children so well.

Amidst different styles, from casual to elegant, we were able to notice numerous proposals that were both chic and functional. It was impossible not to notice the parade of colorful and quality outerwear by Vlasta, Canadian, and Molo, designed to keep the little ones warm on cold or rainy days. For daily adventures in style and comfort, brands like Babywalker, Pisamonas, Igor, Gioseppo Kids, Colors of California, and Pomo d’Api displayed trendy boots and sneakers in various shades and materials. Capturing attention, alongside immediate wearability, was also a lot of elegance aimed at special occasions; among the brands dedicated to ceremonies and formalwear were Tutu du monde, Lemo, Eirene, Alaya, Ala Pag, and Jesurum Baby Venezia, which hit the mark with pastel-colored princely dresses in tulle or soft velvet mini dresses.

Urban fashion, as always well interpreted by Philipp Plein and Richmond, was also very pleasing, combining eccentricity and comfort to create a look suitable for every moment of the day.

However, stealing the scene was the DGVIB3 collection by Dolce&Gabbana, dedicated for the first time to teenagers aged between 12 and 16 years old, and presented in the heart of the Central Pavilion of the Fortezza with an exceptional installation: a fantastic skatepark with urban tones and ramps decorated with colorful graffiti served as a backdrop for the captivating acrobatics of young skaters, who drew visitors’ attention to the new DGVIB3 Collection, visibly influenced by the urban and underground world. Each garment, from cropped to regular cuts, passing through oversized or slim ones, was made with extreme tailoring care, playing with shapes, volumes, and lengths to guarantee unparalleled freedom of movement and expression. The same precision was also reflected in the matching accessories: backpacks, water bottles, caps, and sneakers completed a bold and characterful outfit.

And to avoid getting too bored amidst so many clothing items and accessories, a dense calendar of events, exhibitions, and international guests was also proposed at the Fortezza da Basso. Among these, the Apartment format was a great success, a mix of fashion shows, performances, and games, a fun and colorful show featuring children and their way of experiencing the new collections.

Also noteworthy was the party organized by the Molo brand with the young JJ Vanelli, son of the DJ and producer Joe T Vanelli, specializing in house and electronic music to add an even more glamorous touch to an increasingly engaging event like Pitti Bimbo.
