Every May, the entire Fashion System focuses its attention on the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival, an unmissable cinematic event closely intertwined with the world of fashion, boasting a high presence of international stars strutting down the Croisette’s red carpet in looks representing renowned fashion houses.
The 76th edition, held from May 16th to May 27th, did not disappoint. The opening ceremony dedicated to Jeanne du Barry, featuring Maiwenn’s film, was partnered with the iconic brand Chanel. Among the star-studded attendees during the inauguration on the Montee des Marches were Uma Thurman, exuding royalty in a regal red cloak; Michael Douglas in an elegant black tuxedo; Helen Mirren, a perfectice queen reminiscent of Elsa from Frozen; and the acclaimed Johnny Depp in Dior Homme, complete with his signature ponytail and usual
array of rings, earrings, and bracelets. Catherine Deneuve graced the event in a long blue gown, the mother of the godmother, Chiara Mastroianni, and the face of the Cannes 2023 poster.
